Charleston-Caribbean Leadership Summit - Economic Sectors

The economic sector panels are composed of businesses interested in building the relationships necessary to increase business between South Carolina and the Caribbean. With business leaders from numerous areas joining in the discussion and dialogue, these working groups have the expertise and experience necessary to produce results.

During the conference, each group will hear from a Caribbean and a South Carolina or US representative about the opportunities, challenges, and potential future developments of that economic sector. The panels will then have time to discuss these issues with a goal of problem solving and collaborative efforts to improve the chances for private sector investment and real world application.

The focus of the conference is increased business between the two areas. These discussions are a milestone event and launching pad for working business relationships.

Matchmaking Sessions

In addition to the sector panel discussions and increased business ties through personal working relationships, we are offering businesses the opportunity to meet with various Caribbean leaders and representatives in 20 to 30 minute matchmaking sessions during the conference. Separate meeting rooms are reserved and available for those interested in taking advantage of the rare opportunity to meet with our Caribbean delegates in Charleston.

In order to make these meetings as relevant and useful as possible to both parties, please contact Katherine Bennett to request a specific meeting or arrangement be made prior to the conference. This allows both parties time to prepare for the meeting.
